By studying history, philosophy, and literature, you can see how far technology, science and medicine has grown. This will also allow you to get into these fields with a much better understand.
By being able to understand foreign cultures and foreign languages better, it will be much easier to find common ground with people from other backgrounds.
This strand focuses on oral communication, media and information, and enhancing your reading and writing skills. If you’ve got the guts and ideals to go into politics, civic leadership, or community work, the HUMMS got you covered. You can also be involved with careers on history, public administration, social work, anthropology, environmental planning, or theology.
Education
Possible careers under the HUMMS track also include professionals on literature, philosophy, guidance counselling, linguistics, Philippine Studies, and English. At the HUMMS curriculum, you will deal with human experiences through which your lessons would be developed.
Psychology
Other fields that you could qualify are psychotherapy, market research, criminology, and military science.
The list is inexhaustive. There are many other fulfilling careers that await a HUMSS graduate. Remember that opportunities for maturity and professional growth are not only given to STEM and ABM graduates because careers in HUMSS, just as in any other strand in senior high school, are critically important in the society.

So, let me say this once and for all: just because you’re into HUMSS doesn’t mean there’s no good future waiting for you. And you can be as useful as you want to become because being useful is not about choosing a certain path that the society prescribes. It’s about how you toiled to reach the end of your own chosen path.
Being in HUMSS may have less numbers ans science but I assure you, it is as important as to the other strand. Being in HUMSS taught me to become a better person, to have compassion, generosity and always be open-minded.

My Future in HUMSS
I took HUMSS strand because I decided to take teacher in college because I believe all children need a positive mentor that instils in them an interest in the world and a belief that they can make something of themselves.
